Retaining users is harder than ever. Here is what the data says about sticking power:
- Weekly Plans: High churn. 65% of subscriptions end within 30 days. Only 5% remain after a year.
- Monthly Plans: Better stability. 43% renew at Day 90, and 17% stay active after a year.
- Annual Plans: The gold standard. While upfront conversion is harder, retention is significantly higher for those who commit.
Retention Tip
Weekly plans are great for acquisition but terrible for LTV. Use them as a gateway, but aggressively upsell to Annual plans during the first month to lock in retention.
