App Pricing Guide: Indonesia Market (2026)

Indonesia is a top-five app market by downloads and almost entirely Android. What that means for how you set prices.

Indonesia market overview

Indonesia is the fourth-largest app market in AppTweak's ranking, behind India, the US and Brazil. Its report counts 6.1 billion downloads across both stores between November 2024 and November 2025, about 5.5% of the global total. Downloads were roughly flat, up 0.8% year over year.

Almost all of that volume is Android. Google Play accounted for 5.7 billion downloads, about 7% of all Google Play downloads, while Indonesia does not appear in AppTweak's App Store top 10.

What Android-first means for pricing

For an app in Indonesia, your Google Play price table is the lever that matters most. Google Play lets you set prices directly in local currency, and introductory and subscription prices can differ by region. Our tier comparison explains how that differs from Apple's fixed ladder.

Two practical consequences follow:

  • Check what Google Play converted for you. If you set one USD price and let the store convert it, the Indonesia price is just a currency conversion.
  • Do not skip Apple. Review your App Store price for Indonesia too, even if the volume is lower.

Currency risk

Our multi-currency pricing checklist lists Indonesia among the markets to spot-check monthly because of currency volatility. If you hold a fixed local price, review it on a schedule so exchange-rate moves do not quietly push it too high or too low.

How to price for Indonesia

Start from what people in Indonesia will pay. The Mirava Index estimates what people in each market will pay from live subscription data. Our guide to setting up local pricing with purchasing power parity covers the older method, and why it matters explains the reasoning.

Learn from markets with similar income gaps. The Turkey and Nigeria guides show how large a discount versus the US can look in practice. Treat those numbers as context, not a target for Indonesia.

Move one market at a time. Change the Indonesia price alone, then read conversion and revenue per install before the next change. The wider playbook is in the price localization guide.

Key takeaway

Indonesia is big and mostly on Google Play. The work is in the Android price table: set it on purpose, and review it as the currency moves.
